The Art/Human Development Project and Instituto Mexicano Norteamericano de Relaciones Culturales invites all Printmaking Artists to participate in the Fourth International Printmaking Exhibit; Prints for Peace 2011 in Monterrey NL México.

All prints that have the required specifications will be exhibited in June and July at

Arte AC / Tecnológico de Monterrey http://www.arteac.edu.mx/

A selection of 50 prints chosen by a jury will be displayed on the invitation and poster.

The first prize jury award is the opportunity of a solo exhibit in 2012. The second prize jury award is the opportunity to participate in the Third International Printmaking Collective in 2012.

There is no entry fee in lieu of the donation of the print to the Prints for Peace Collection and Art/Human Development Workshop of Casa Hogar el Refugio a youth shelter in Monterrey, NL México.

A panel discussion promoting Peace will be organized in combination with the exhibit.The Specifics: Only prints that comply with the regulations will, be exhibited. The prints that do not comply will not be returned.

1. Prints: Each artist should send one original hand pulled print. No digital, photos or copies accepted.

2. Paper Size : 10 x 10 inches or 25 x 25 cm. Image size can vary or bleed out of the paper. The paper size is extremely important. The image can be any size.

3. Theme: Peace.

4. Medium: Entries may feature any technique of printmaking and should be signed.

5. Deadline: April 15, 2011. Prints received in Monterrey. If the print is late we will save it for next year.

6. Please include a print appropriate for all audiences. They will eventually be included in other events involving school children.

By sending a print, the artist gives permission to use the print and its image in other non-profit educational events about peace.

The prints will not be sold; they will become part of the collection Prints for Peace Arte/Desarrollo Humano Workshop of Casa Hogar el Refugio Monterrey NL, México.

7. Exhibits: All Prints will be exhibited. The Photos of the exhibit will be posted on the same page as the Art in the web. Selections of 50 Prints will be exhibited in other galleries. Please see more information in our web page: http://www.printsforpeacemexico.blogspot.com/

8. Awards. The first and second prize winners will be announced in August 2011. The first prize will be awarded a solo exhibit in Monterrey, NL. The artist will send 12 to 15 original prints with pass partout (cardboard window) and without frame. The committee will frame the prints and send back the original prints without the pass partout (cardboard window) or the frame.

Collective exhibit. The artist awarded the second price will send three prints with pass partout to the Third International Printmaking Collective in 2011. Ten artists will participate. The theme is free. The first and second price winners are asked to donate one print to Arte/Desarrollo Humano to be used for future exhibits.

	Rules of MINI PRINT INTERNATIONAL OF CADAQUÉS
	Open to all artists, printing techniques and tendencies, TALLER GALERIA FORT and ADOGI announce, as every year, the MINI PRINT INTERNATIONAL OF CADAQUÉS.
1	Each artist should submit four prints. It is preferable though not necessary that the works be of different images.
2	The image must not be bigger than 10 x 10 cm (3.9 x 3.9 in). The paper must not be bigger than 18 x 18 cm (7.1 x 7.1 in).
3	The signed works should be sent by registered air-mail as PRINTED MATTER in a simple packet, without glass, frame or passe-partout, declaring "NO COMMERCIAL VALUE", to: ADOGI, Apartat de Correus 9319, Barcelona 08080, Spain, before March 15th.
4	With the membership form properly filled in, a “Curriculum Vitae” should accompany the works, including name, date and place of birth of the artist, as well as the corresponding fee. 10	Once the itinerant exhibitions are over, which takes about one year or so, a catalogue illustrating all the exhibited prints in full color and full information will be sent to each artist, together with the unsold works and a cheque for any work sold.
11	There will be a 33% commission for the Gallery on the sale of all work. 50 miniprints will be purchased by ADOGI. If artists are interested in selling, please set reasonable prices.

GRAPHIC “METROPOLIS”

The theme of the Second Kulisiewicz International Graphic Arts Triennial in Warsaw is Metropolis. The strength of this word consists in both its ancient pedigree and contemporary meaning, bringing with it numerous associations. The Greek concept of metropolis arose from a combination of two words: meter (mother) and polis (city). The mother-city or mother home town in this way embodied the idea of centralized contemporary social structures. Modern language increasingly indicates a potential inadvertent correlation of the word coined by the Greeks with the concept of metro, or in between, revealing a second - centrifugal - nature of the modern metropolis. This duality makes us aware that the phenomenon of modern civilization is a very complicated product. It goes far beyond the framework of defining the organizational and spatial structure of human communities. Its perception and cognition (understanding) should take place on many different levels.

For the multitude of cultural anthropologists, sociologists, demographers and specialists in other areas, metropolis has become the field of multifaceted research, as well as triggering scientific exploration of new, unfamiliar territories. The last decades have shown clearly that art can perfectly fulfill itself in the spheres close to science, engaging with it in inspirational discourse or creating a close symbiosis. Similar results are expected in the implementation of the title concept of our event, which will doubtless fulfill the role of initiator of creative exploration.

Thus the question remains how the guiding theme defines the artist’s potential tasks, and what directions the artist can explore. They will surely be compelled to focus on the individual and the structures of human communities. Creative exploration will always have social repercussions, even if man will be only its putative subject. Designated in this way, the direction in fact opens up a broad spectrum of possibilities rather than limiting them.

The 23rd International Biennial Exhibition of Modern Exlibris

Mariusz Mierzwiński, the Director of the Malbork Castle Museum, invites artists from all around the world to participate in the 23rd International Biennial Exhibition of Modern Exlibris – Malbork 2011, which will take place from June to September 2011, within the historical interiors of the Malbork Castle.

Only signed prints from printing plates made between 2009-2010 will be accepted for participation in the contest. Artists participating in the contest for the first time are asked to submit works also made previously to 2009.

The deadline for submissions is 27th January 2011.

Submitted works will be selected for exhibition by a jury assembled by the contest organisers.
The best sets of work will be awarded with Medals of Honour and Certificates, as well as three monetary prizes.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

The year 2011 will mark the 16th German International Exhibition of Graphic Art, which was founded in 1970 and is now held triennially. It aims to support contemporary graphic arts. The exhibition is organized by the Kunstverein zu Frechen e.V, in cooperation with the town of Frechen.

Conditions of Entry
In order to support talented young artists, the International Exhibition of Graphic Art has introduced an age limit, inviting professional artists born since 1971 to submit their work. Entries must be executed in one of the graphic arts.

New graphic practices (computer generated graphics, laser printing, etc.) are as welcome as traditional printmaking techniques (woodcut, linocut, screen printing, etching, etc.). The work must demonstrate a convincing use of the medium chosen as an expressively powerful means to convey content and formal aspects, and not purely as a production technique. Measure limit: The sum of length + width must not exceed 250 cm. Three-dimensional works and monoprints may be submitted as well, as long as they belong to the field of graphic art. The measures of each work (a+b+c) may not exceed 250 cm. The decisive factor is the innovative, artistic quality of the works.

PRE-SELECTION
In the pre-selection round, an internal jury will choose the artists who will be invited to participate in the final round, which is judged by the admission jury. Entries to the pre-selection round should be submitted either as colour photos (at least 13 x 18 cm) or as computer prints on A4 paper (21 x 29.7 cm). Up to four works may be submitted, and each should be clearly marked with the entrant’s name, and with the work’s title, year, technique, and dimensions. The completed entry form must accompany the entries. THE CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS JANUARY 25, 2011. None of the entry materials will be returned.

FINAL SELECTION AND PRIZE MONEY
The artists chosen in the pre-selection round will be invited to submit their original works to the admission jury for the final round. The closing date for invited entries is April 11, 2011. All works should be submitted unframed: the organizer will have them framed (up to 90 x 120 cm). A CD must be submitted with the entries containing highresolution digital images of each work (at least 300 dpi at the printable size of 21 cm on the long side of the image). These images will be used as illustrations in the catalogue. All finalists must submit an entry fee of €20. The admission jury is comprised of five judges: one member of the committee of the Kunstverein Frechen, one art critic, one representative of the art academies, one representative of the graphic museums and one artist. The admission jury will choose the works that will be shown at the exhibition as well as the prize-winners. Three prizes will be awarded in the amounts of €2,500, €1,500 and €1,000.

EXHIBITION AND CATALOGUE
The exhibition of the selected works shall be held from SEPTEMBER 4 TO OCTOBER 2, 2011, in the Town Hall of Frechen. The catalogue of the XVIth German International Exhibition of Graphic Art will appear in two languages (German and English) and will include images of all works exhibited.

COMMISSION
The Kunstverein Frechen charges a 30% commission on any works sold.

DISCLAIMER

Eligibility

The competition is open to all artists. All forms of art are acceptable as long as print is a critical component of the work. Work submitted must have been completed in the last two years. Submitted works cannot have been exhibited within 50 miles of Philadelphia or in any prior exhibition at The Print Center. Up to four images may be submitted and only one entry per person.

X INTERNATIONAL BIENNIAL OF ENGRAVING

Rules for participation

Art.1

The X Edition of the International Biennial for Engraving and Acqui Prize 2011 are organised by the International Biennial Association for Engraving and they are supported by the Rotary Club of Acqui Terme, by the Region of Piedmont, the Province of Alessandria, the Town Council of Acqui Terme and C.R.T. Foundation.

Art.2

The Biennial is open to any engraver and entry into the competition is free.
Each artist can enter the competition only with one work completed after January 1st, 2009, in compliance with the principle of originality stated by the “Declaration of Milan” in 1994.
The work must neither have had, until that time, a regular run, nor have been exhibited in any other Prize competition or public event.
The maximum accepted size for entry works is 50 x 70 centimetres, printed on a sheet not exceeding 50x70 centimetre size. All works outsize won’t be accepted and they won’t be returned to sender.
Works can’t be in a frame or in a passe-partout.

Art.3

Each artist should send one copy of his/her work and a photograph or a laser photocopy of the same (18 x 24 cm size) with the title of the work, the technique and the year of completion, the author’s full name and address written on the reverse side.
In addition the artist must attach the entry-form and each part of the form must be properly filled in.

Works must be sent by September 30th, 2010. The works sent after this date will not be accepted.

The works entering the competition will be selected by the experienced Jury. This Jury will decide the works to be included in the catalogue, in the exhibition and the works to be submitted to the People’s Jury who decides the winners of the Prizes.

Art.5

The Experienced Jury is made up of academics and critics, specialists in History of Engraving and well known cultural experts – The People’s Jury is made up of citizens from Acqui Terme and the Monferrato district.

Art.6

The first prize, Acqui Prize, of € 5.000 will be awarded in 2011 on the occasion of the International Biennial Opening Ceremony. The Jury reserves the right to set up other prizes. – The awarding of the prizes implies that the artist has to surrender the mould (plate) and to transfer his/her rights on the work which will be sent as follows: 50 engravings with Arabian numbers (1/50 – 2/50 – etc.) and 25 engravings with Roman numbers (I/XXV – II/XXV – etc.).

Art.7

At the end of the exhibition, all the works received won’t be returned, but they will be kept and displayed in the Museum of Engraving Collection – Paleologi Castle in Acqui Terme.

Art.8

The Management of the International Biennial of Engraving reserves the right to exhibit the above mentioned works also in other Exhibition Centres.

1- Podrán participar todos los artistas nacionales y extranjeros que lo deseen. Las obras deberán estar ejecutadas necesariamente en cualquiera de los sistemas y técnicas tradicionales del arte gráfico (calcografía, xilografía, litografía o serigrafía), que se podrán combinar con aquellas otras técnicas gráficas, incluidos los procedimientos digitales y electrográficos, que considere conveniente el artista.
2- Se admitirán como máximo dos obras por autor. El tamaño del papel será de 38 cm x 28 cm. El artista podrá utilizar las tintas y matrices que estime conveniente para la estampación de los originales.
3- Los grabados serán inéditos y no haber sido editados ni numerados. Los premios otorgados conllevan la edición de las obras premiadas en 25 ejemplares y su entrega a la Fundación Museo de Artes.
4- Se establecen 5 premios dotados con 2.500 Euros cada uno y un premio especial de 1.400 €, para un artista nacido o residente en la Península del Barbanza (A Coruña). Estos premios estarán sujetos a las retenciones marcadas por la ley.
5- Junto con la obra se adjuntará la siguiente documentación:
Datos del autor: nombre y apellidos./ Técnica utilizada. Medida de la plancha/ Breve currículo artístico/ Fotocopia del DNI o pasaporte./ Dirección, número de teléfono y correo electrónico.
6- Los grabados se enviarán sin enmarcar, convenientemente protegidos a la Fundación Museo de las Artes del Grabado. Lugar de Outeiro. ARTES- Riveira. 15969 (A Coruña) España, del 15 DE FEBRERO AL 30 DE MAYO.
7- La Fundación Museo de Artes, se compromete a editar una carpeta con los 6 grabados premiados. Los ganadores, se responsabilizan de estampar, numerar y firmar los 25 ejemplares, más las 2 pruebas de artista; deberán entregar la/s matriz/ces junto a las 25 estampas a la Fundación Museo de Artes. Los 6 artistas galardonados recibirán de la Fundación una carpeta completa con los seis grabados premiados.
8- Los trabajos seleccionados se expondrán en el Museo de Artes durante los meses de Julio y agosto 2010.
9- El jurado estará formado por 5 personalidades del mundo del Arte, y su decisión será inapelable. La Fundación dará a conocer en la primera semana del mes de Abril los nombres de los miembros del jurado. Y el fallo se emitirá en el mes de junio.
10- La Fundación, velará por la buena conservación de los trabajos recibidos, pero no se responsabiliza por los daños causados durante el envío y devolución de las obras. Los gastos de envío y retorno correrán por cuenta del artista.
11- Las obras no retiradas, ni reclamadas en el plazo de 2 meses transcurridos desde la entrega de premios e inauguración el día 17 de julio, se entiende que el autor renuncia a la/s obra/s y pasarán a engrosar la colección de Arte Gráfico de la Fundación .
12-Las obras seleccionadas podrán ser vendidas en el transcurso de la exposición, si previamente ha sido indicado por el autor, que percibirá el importe integro de la venta. Contactando al artista con el comprador.
13- El hecho de participar en este concurso el artista acepta las bases y renuncia a cualquier tipo de reclamación.

VIII BIENAL INTERNACIONAL DE GRABADO CIUDAD DE BORJA 2010

CON EL OBJETIVO DE PROMOVER LA PRÁCTICA DEL GRABADO Y ESTIMULAR SU COLECCIONISMO, SE CONVOCA LA VIII BIENAL INTERNACIONAL DE GRABADO CIUDAD DE BORJA 2010, CON ARREGLO A LAS SIGUIENTES

BASES

1.- Podrán participar artistas de cualquier nacionalidad.

2.- Se concederán los siguientes premios que no podrán declararse desiertos y que serán indivisibles:
- Primer Premio "Glauco Capozzoli" dotado con la cantidad de 1.803,04 €.
- Segundo Premio dotado con la cantidad de 901,52 €.
- Accésit "Asociación Cultural A-71" dotado con 700 €.
El Jurado seleccionará entre las obras recibidas, aquéllas que serán expuestas e incluidas en el catálogo de la Bienal y otorgará los premios a que se hace mención en este apartado.

3.- Cada artista presentará una obra inédita realizada dentro de los años 2009 o 2010, que no haya sido presentada a otro concurso.

4.- La técnica empleada debe ser necesariamente sobre plancha de material rígido (metal, madera, piedra, etc.) grabado con alguna de las técnicas conocidas como buril, punta seca, aguafuerte, manera negra, barniz blando, etc. para el caso de grabado en hueco; o gubias, cuchillos, formones, rascadores, etc. para las técnicas de relieve.
También pueden emplearse técnicas litográficas o serigráficas y cualquier otro recurso gráfico aditivo que el artista considere necesario. Quedan excluidas todo tipo de técnicas digitales.

5.- Para optar al premio, el artista presentará una estampa sobre papel, cuyo tamaño no exceda de 100 x 70 cm. enmarcada con metacrilato transparente y marco metálico o de madera que no exceda los tres centímetros. A juicio del Jurado, podrá ser desenmarcada para su examen directo. Al dorso de la misma figurará el nombre y apellidos del autor.
Para facilitar el envío de los grabados que provengan fuera de España, estos podrán ser remitidos sin ningún tipo de enmarcación.
En sobre aparte se adjuntará el boletín de inscripción que se incluye en estas bases, y una fotografía de la estampa en soporte digital.

6.- La estampa, firmada y fechada deberá entregarse entre el 17 de mayo y el 4 de junio de 2010 en el Ayuntamiento de la Ciudad de Borja, Plaza de España, 1. C.P. 50540, en horario de 10 a 13 h. El envío y los gastos de devolución de la obra serán por cuenta del concursante sin que quepan reclamaciones por extravíos o desperfectos que puedan suceder durante el transporte, aunque la organización se compromete a cuidar al máximo la manipulación de las obras.

7.- Se formalizará por parte de la organización un seguro que estará vigente desde la recepción de las estampas hasta su devolución, que tendrá lugar durante el mes de septiembre. El Ayuntamiento enviará las obras a la dirección postal que figure a estos efectos en el boletín de inscripción. En caso de devolución al Ayuntamiento del envío por no recepción del mismo por el destinatario, el Ayuntamiento se exime de cualquier responsabilidad por daños, corriendo cualquier gasto adicional que se produzca por cuenta del participante.

8.- La composición del Jurado, que estará formado por destacadas personalidades del mundo del arte y de la cultura, se hará pública en el momento oportuno.

9.- La Exposición de las obras seleccionadas se realizará en la Ciudad de Borja.

10.- El fallo del Jurado se hará público durante el mes de junio. La entrega de premios tendrá lugar durante el acto inaugural de la Exposición, el sábado día 10 de julio, a las 20 horas, en el Museo Baltasar González, sito en C/ San Bartolomé.

11.- Las estampas de las obras premiadas pasarán a ser propiedad del M.I. Ayuntamiento de la Ciudad de Borja y de los donantes de los premios, quedando la plancha en propiedad del autor.

12.- En cada convocatoria se invitará al ganador del Primer Premio de la Bienal anterior para realizar una exposición monográfica de su obra grabada, que tendrá lugar en el Torreón de los Borja, en Borja, en fechas coincidentes con la Exposición del Premio.

13.- La presentación de las obras a concurso implica la aceptación total de las presentes bases.

14.- El fallo del Jurado será inapelable.

"CARMEN AROZENA 2010"

1ª Con la intención de fomentar la creación artística del grabado, El Cabildo Insular de la Palma convoca la XXXVIII edición del Premio Internacional de Grabado Carmen Arozena, a la que pueden concurrir tanto artistas españoles como extranjeros, residentes o no en España.

2ª Se establecen los siguientes premios:

• Primer premio indivisible dotado con 4.000 €
• Segundo premio indivisible dotado con 2.000 €
• Tercer premio indivisible dotado con 1.000 €.

La cuantía de los premios estará sujeta a la normativa legal vigente sobre retenciones fiscales. Los premios no podrán ser declarados desiertos. El Jurado podrá otorgar cuantas menciones honoríficas considere oportunas.

3ª Cada artista presentará una sola obra gráfica original y no exhibida, sin enmarcar, producida entre 2008 y 2010. La obra no debe haber sido premiada con anterioridad. El tema, la técnica y el soporte de la estampa serán libres.

4ª La obra presentada deberá estar firmada, numerada y fechada. La edición no debe exceder de 25 ejemplares, más las pruebas de artista. El tamaño máximo del soporte será de 70 x 100 x1 cm y el tamaño mínimo de 20 x 20 x 1 cm.

5ª El ejemplar deberá presentarse correctamente envuelto en un embalaje rígido o en un tubo de cartón. Al dorso de la obra figurarán claramente nombre y apellidos del artista. A la obra se adjuntará, en sobre separado, la ficha de inscripción que se incluye en estas bases, totalmente cumplimentada y un curriculum. No serán admitidas las obras que no cumplan todos estos requisitos.

6ª Las obras deberán ser enviadas o presentadas en la entidad Brita Prinz ARTE S.A. cuya sede social se encuentra en la calle Gravina nº 27, 1º derecha, 28004 Madrid, entre el 3 y el 21 de mayo de 2010, dentro del horario comprendido entre las 10 y las 14 horas, de lunes a viernes. Las obras enviadas por correo deberán llevar el matasellos correspondiente. Las obras con matasellos de fecha dentro del plazo serán aceptadas siempre que lleguen antes de catorce días naturales después de la fecha límite. Todos los gastos derivados del envío o presentación de las obras serán de cuenta del participante.

7ª El jurado estará compuesto por un delegado del Excmo. Cabildo Insular de La Palma, el ganador de la edición anterior del Premio Carmen Arozena, críticos de arte, gestores culturales y un miembro de la familia de Carmen Arozena, siendo el fallo inapelable.

8ª Las obras premiadas pasarán a ser propiedad del Excmo. Cabildo Insular de La Palma y serán destinadas al Museo Insular del Excmo. Cabildo Insular de La Palma (Islas Canarias).

9ª No podrá ser receptora de los premios la obra de artistas galardonados en ediciones anteriores del Premio Internacional de Grabado “Carmen Arozena”.

10ª De la totalidad de las obras recibidas, el jurado realizará una selección de aproximadamente 30 obras. La celebración de la entrega de premios tendrá lugar el día 14 de octubre de 2010, en el Espacio Canarias de Creación y Cultura, situado en la Calle Alcalá 91 en Madrid, lugar dónde estarán expuestas las obras premiadas y seleccionadas del 14 de octubre al 8 de noviembre de 2010. A continuación esta misma exposición será presentada, del 18 de noviembre al 11 de diciembre de 2010, en la Casa Salazar en Santa Cruz de La Palma.

El Cabildo Insular de La Palma se reserva el derecho de modificar las fechas señaladas en caso de que fuera necesario y de exponer esta selección en otros lugares de interés para el mundo del grabado.

11ª Las imágenes de las obras premiadas y seleccionadas, al igual que el currículum artístico de los participantes correspondientes, serán incluidos en el catálogo que se publicará con esta ocasión.

12ª Las obras seleccionadas y no premiadas podrán estar a la venta al precio que estime oportuno el artista, tal como se indica en el boletín de inscripción. En todo caso, las obras vendidas no serán entregadas al comprador hasta haber finalizado las muestras definidas en la cláusula 11ª.

13ª La organización comunicará a los participantes, vía correo electrónico, las obras seleccionadas y las no seleccionadas.

14ª Las obras no seleccionadas pueden ser recogidas por los artistas, en días laborales, entre el 6 y el 17 de septiembre de 2010, en las oficinas de Brita Prinz ARTE S.A., en el mismo horario de entrega. Pasadas dichas fechas se devolverán a la dirección remitente, siendo los gastos de envío de cuenta del artista.

15ª La devolución de las obras no recogidas y enviadas desde territorio nacional se hará por un servicio de mensajería a portes debidos.

Para la devolución de las obras no recogidas y enviadas desde el extranjero, el artista debe mandar en un sobre separado los “Cupones respuesta internacional de correos” cubriendo así la totalidad de los gastos de envío en su envoltorio original, teniendo en cuenta que cada cupón en España tiene un contravalor de € 0,78 €, siendo necesario, para devolver la obra, un mínimo de 8 cupones para Europa y 12 para América.

En caso de que las obras no estén acompañadas de cupones se entenderá que sus autores renuncian a la propiedad de dichas obras. Éstas pasan a ser propiedad del Excmo. Cabildo Insular de La Palma.
Las obras seleccionadas se devolverán una vez finalizadas las posibles exposiciones, contactando la organización con los artistas con antelación.

16ª Ni el Excmo. Cabildo Insular de La Palma ni Brita Prinz ARTE S.A. se hacen responsables del deterioro, extravío, robo, incendio, etc. que puedan sufrir las obras que concurran al premio. Ni el Excmo. Cabildo Insular de la Palma ni Brita Prinz ARTE suscribirán póliza de seguros para cubrir riesgos.

17ª La presentación de una obra a este premio implica la aceptación total de las presentes bases.

V Premio Internacional de arte gráfico Jesús Núñez 2010

En la línea de apoyo a la creación artística, que lleva a cabo la Diputación de A Coruña y, en concreto, al desarrollo del arte gráfico así como, en reconocimiento a la labor realizada por la Fundación CIEC, "Centro Internacional de la Estampa Contemporánea" de Betanzos y a la amplia trayectoria del artista Jesús Núñez, su fundador, la Diputación de A Coruña convoca el "V Premio Internacional de arte gráfico "Jesús Núñez", de acuerdo con las siguientes:

BASES

Primera.-

Podrán optar al premio todas las personas mayores de edad, de cualquier nacionalidad, que no hayan obtenido ningún premio en las cinco ediciones anteriores, y que estén interesadas en el campo del arte gráfico, con obras que no hayan sido presentadas anteriormente a ningún otro concurso o certamen.

Segunda.-

Se establecen los siguientes premios:

* Primer premio indivisible, dotado con 6.500 y una exposición en la Fundación CIEC. Esta cantidad está sujeta a las retenciones legales que le sean aplicables.

* Dos accesits consistentes cada uno de ellos en beca de matrícula de un módulo del Máster de Obra Gráfica impartido por la Fundación CIEC.

La Diputación .podrá publicar o exponer los tres trabajos premiados, que quedarán de su propiedad; igualmente y, previo acuerdo con sus autores, podrá publicar o exponer aquellos trabajos que no hayan sido premiados y que el jurado se consideren de calidad.

Asimismo, los autores de las tres obras premiadas donarán otro ejemplar, igual al premiado, a la Fundación CIEC, con destino a los fondos de su colección.

Tercera.-

Cada artista podrá presentar un máximo de una obra, en cualquiera de las disciplinas de las técnicas gráficas: grabado calcográfico, litografía, serigrafía, xilografía y sus derivaciones.

Las obras se presentarán sin enmarcar y al dorso deberá figurar el nombre y apellidos del autor, así como el año de su realización.

Las medidas del papel no excederán de 76 x 112 cm y el tamaño de la mancha impresa será, como mínimo, de 28 x 28 cm.

A la obra presentada se adjuntará la siguiente documentación:

* Datos del autor: nombre y apellidos, DNI (o documento que lo sustituya, para artistas extranjeros), lugar y fecha de nacimiento, teléfono, dirección, e-mail, curriculum que no exceda de un tamaño DIN A4, por una cara, fecha y firma.

* Ficha técnica: Título, técnica, fecha, papel, medida del papel (altura x base), medida de la mancha (altura x base), número de matrices, número de tintas, tirada y taller de estampación.

Cuarta.-

El plazo de admisión de originales será del 3 al 30 de junio de dos mil diez.

Las obras deberán enviarse a la Fundación CIEC, Rúa do Castro 2, 15300

Betanzos, A Coruña-España), indicando en el sobre "V Premio Internacional de arte grafico "Jesús Núñez 2010".

Quinta.-

El jurado estará presidido por el presidente de la Diputación y formarán parte de él: D. Jesús Núñez, la sra. Diputada Presidenta de la Comisión de Cultura, Educación y Patrimonio Histórico-Artístico y cuatro personas de reconocido prestigio en el campo del arte gráfico.

El jurado será nombrado por el presidente de la Diputación, y actuará como secretario el de la Corporación o el funcionario en el que delegue.

La composición del jurado se hará pública con anterioridad a su reunión en el tablón de anuncios y en la página web de la Diputación, (www.dicoruna.es) con el fin de que se puedan interponer, si es el caso, los recursos legales pertinentes.

Sexta.-

Los participantes tienen la obligación de comunicar a la Diputación la concesión de cualquier premio que obtenga la obra presentada en el momento en que esta situación se produzca, lo que dará lugar a su exclusión del concurso.

El jurado actuará en pleno, en sesión a ser posible única, siendo necesaria la asistencia de dos tercios de sus miembros. A efectos de la validez de su constitución, será de aplicación lo dispuesto en el arto 26.1 de la Ley 30/1992 del Régimen Jurídico de las Administraciones Públicas y del Procedimiento Administrativo Común.

Las deliberaciones serán secretas y de ellas se extenderá el acta correspondiente.

El jurado no podrá declarar desierto el premio y su propuesta será objeto de resolución de la Presidencia de esta Diputación, que es el órgano competente para conceder el premio.

La decisión del jurado tendrá lugar en el tercer trimestre del año 2010 y se dará a conocer en el tablón de anuncios y en la página Web de la Diputación, así como través de los medios de comunicación.

El jurado podrá realizar una selección, de 30 obras como máximo, entre las obras no premiadas, para su inclusión en una exposición, que será inaugurada en la Fundación CIEC y que, posteriormente, itinerará por municipios de la provincia, editándose el correspondiente catálogo.

Los autores presentes en la exposición recibirán ejemplares del catálogo.

Séptima.-

Las obras no seleccionadas, enviadas desde territorio nacional, se devolverán a sus autores, por mensajería a portes debidos; los envíos procedentes del extranjero deberán venir acompañados de "cupones respuesta internacional de correos", que cubran la totalidad de los gastos de envío en su envoltorio original.

En caso de que alguna obra no se envíe acompañada de los cupones señalados en el párrafo anterior, se entenderá que su autor renuncia a su propiedad, debiendo adjuntar, en este caso, un escrito firmado por él y por medio del cual hará renuncia expresa a la propiedad de la obra, y su cesión a la Diputación.

Las obras que resulten seleccionadas para la exposición se devolverán a sus autores, en las condiciones establecidas en el párrafo anterior, al finalizar su itinerancia.

Octava.-

La Diputación de A Coruña correrá con los gastos de los seguros de las obras durante el tiempo en el que permanezcan en su poder, y siempre que éste no supere los plazos señalados para su retirada

Novena.-

La participación en esta convocatoria supone la total aceptación de estas bases.

7th International Miniprint Finland 2010

Open Call for Artists all over the world

7th International Miniprint Finland 2010, miniature graphics triennial will be organized at Lahti Art Museum 26 November 2010 to 30 January 2011.

Patron of the Miniprint Finland 2010 event is the great finnish graphic artist Outi Heiskanen.

Rules of entry

1. The competition is open to all artists and all traditional print art techniques, including digital and unique print methods are accepted. Every participating artist can offer maximum of 3 pieces of graphic works produced in the years 2007 - 2010. The motif of the works is not limited.

2. The maximum dimensions of the artwork is 17 x 20 cm. The maximum size of the printing paper is 30 x 35 cm. If the works are printed on 3 dimensional material, the depth of it cannot exceed 5 cm. If the size of the offered art works exceeds these restrictions, they will not be considered for entry into the exhibition.

3. The number and the title of the work has to be marked clearly, on the back side of the artworks, corresponding the notes on the participation and information form.

4. Please send the signed artworks, participation- and information form, CV (curriculum vitae) and a copy of the receipt of the participation fee as “PRINTED MATTER/ NO COMMERCIAL VALUE” in a simple package to the address: Lahti Art Museum, P.B. 113, 15111 LAHTI, FINLAND by May 15th 2010. Mark on the package “Miniprint Finland 2010”.

5. Participation fee is EUR 40 which covers handling of the artworks, jurying and return postage.

XI Bienal Internacional de Grabado Caixanova 2010

Caixanova abre hoy, 1 de febrero, el plazo para la presentación de obras para la XI Bienal Internacional de Grabado. Se trata de uno de los certámenes de mayor prestigio y tradición en el mundo de la estampación gráfica y, en esta edición, ofrece 16.500 euros en premios. No en vano, las últimas ediciones de este certamen han acogido más de 10.000 grabados presentados por 6.200 creadores procedentes de 67 países diferentes. El plazo para la presentación de obras se cierra el 30 de junio de 2010.

Un jurado de expertos se encargará de seleccionar las obras que optarán a los galardones, figurarán en el catálogo, formarán parte de los fondos de la colección Caixanova y participarán en las exposiciones que se realicen con posterioridad. El primer premio recibirá una medalla de oro y 9.000 euros; el segundo, medalla de plata y 3.000 euros, y el tercero, medalla de bronce y 1.500 euros. Además se otorgarán cinco menciones honoríficas de 600 euros cada una.

El plazo de admisión finalizará el 30 de junio de 2010, debiendo entregarse o remitirse a la Unidad de Gestión de Obra Social Caixanova en Ourense (Praza Maior, 4 – 32005). Cada grabador podrá concurrir con un máximo de dos obras, inéditas y originales, que no hayan sido presentadas anteriormente a ningún otro certamen. La medida del papel no podrá ser inferior a 50 cm, al menos por alguno de sus lados, ni superior a 70x100 cm.

Trayectoria del Premio

Desde la primera convocatoria del certamen, en el año 1991, las obras presentadas a concurso se multiplicaron por cinco, así como por cuatro el número de países participantes. Hoy, después de 19 años, este certamen no sólo está consolidado, sino que ha alcanzado un puesto de relevancia entre los concursos de sus características que se celebran en el mundo.

Las sucesivas ediciones de la Bienal Internacional de Grabado Caixanova han conseguido acercar al público esta técnica y, al mismo tiempo, apoyarla como una expresión artística de diferentes generaciones. El éxito de participación refleja el gran atractivo que este certamen representa para artistas de puntos dispares del planeta, que concurren con la esperanza de obtener uno de los preciados galardones. Consecuencia de todo ello es una exposición rica en cantidad pero, sobre todo, en la calidad de los trabajos presentados, que debe servir para potenciar y valorar la riqueza que encierra el mundo del grabado.
